Yep you're looking at the new Battlefield 3 Close Quarters trailer and it showcases the newest map Donya Fortress. I'm personally looking forward to getting my hands on this upon release but I cant say that for all of AUK (You know who you are!) but it does look promising. The BF3 CQ expansion is set for release June 2012.
The trailer showcases the new mode Conquest Domination, but it’s hard to see how its meant to be played with all the splosions everywhere. Let us know what you think of the new trailer in the comments!
In other news, iv'e been hearing from sources that a patch is being readied for deployment, I am not entirely sure what it will contain but what I do know is that the dreaded M26 MASS bug is priority number 1.
Most of you will know the M26 MASS attachment for the assault class is way overpowered due to this bug. When the M26 is equipped with DART ammunition and the underslung grenade launcher each dart deals full damage of the main rifle. Which means instant kills across most ranges.
Not only is this soul destroying but it ruins the atmosphere on the servers and it only takes one person to rock the boat. I would suggest warning folk that this is a kickable offence on the Anarchy Servers.
DICE is aware of this issue and according to Gustav Halling (via Twitter), the M26 glitch will be fixed in an upcoming patch. He didn't give an exact timeline as to when we can expect it to be fixed. Given how long it took for previous patches to be released, it looks like we’ll have to live with this for a little while.
